ABOUT ME

I am an integrative psychotherapist, counsellor and dramatherapist. I work with children, adolescents and adults, and have done so for over 10 years. This ranges from schools, health care settings, ranging from Norwood Children & Family Centres, Shaftsbury High School (special needs) and within the NHS at The Kingswood Centre.

In addition, during the last 5 years I have developed my private practice in which I have worked with clients with a wide variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self– confidence, low self–esteem, loss and bereavement, relationship difficulties, sexuality and self– harm.

I primarily work within a framework that leans towards a relational approach in psychodynamic concepts, I am also influenced by attachment theory and body psychotherapy, favouring a person–centred therapeutic style. From my experience as a dramatherapist, I use art and drama as healing concepts, methods that use action to facilitate creativity, imagination, learning, insight and growth.

Since 2017 I have been facilitating process groups within the MA Dramatherapy course at Roehampton University, which follows from working in the MA Dramatherapy department at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
